KhanSec Cyber (the "Service") operates khansec.com.au and the learn.khansec.com.au student verification portal.
Primary purpose: Provide a fair, time-boxed verification service that helps determine whether further discussion with your tutor/mentor is warranted for supported Deakin units. Video analysis (transcript + visual review of what you show) is used only when you make claims that require verification.
We also use contact data to respond to consultancy enquiries.
Videos are stored in private cloud storage. We generate a transcript and may use automated vision/LLM analysis to check whether you are showing the artefacts and explanations you described in the questionnaire. Analysis results are attached to your submission record.
We only share data with: you, authorised reviewers (e.g. your tutor for the unit), essential service providers (hosting, storage, email delivery, transcription/vision APIs), and as required by law.
Student data and videos are retained only for the current teaching period plus a short buffer for appeals (typically 3 months). Videos are deleted after analysis + short grace period unless legally required to retain.
You can request access to or correction of your data, or deletion (subject to any ongoing unit requirements). Contact us first, then the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if needed.
Full detailed policy will be published before any live student data is collected. This service operates under Australian law.
